These Terms of Use explain the rules for using umanmade™ .

By accessing, browsing, submitting work to, or using umanmade™ , you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

1. About umanmade™

umanmade™ is a curated directory for human-made design and code.

The platform showcases original creative work made by real people, without AI-generated visuals, AI-generated assets, AI-generated code, or AI-generated shortcuts involved in the creation process.

Users may submit work for review. umanmade™ may also curate and feature publicly available work we find interesting, with attribution and links to the original source whenever possible.

2. Eligibility

By using umanmade™, you confirm that you are legally able to agree to these Terms.

If you submit work on behalf of a company, studio, client, or another person, you confirm that you have permission to do so.

3. Submitting work

When you submit work to umanmade™, you may be asked to provide your name or creator name, email address, project title, project description, category, tools used, website, portfolio or social links, media preview, proof of original creation, and other relevant submission details.

Submitting work does not guarantee that it will be published.

4. Human-made criteria

umanmade™ is for original human-made design and code.

By submitting work, you confirm that the work was created by you, or that you have permission to submit it, that the work was not generated using AI tools, that it does not use AI-generated visuals, assets, code, or other AI-generated material, that the proof you provide is accurate and not misleading, and that any third-party resources used in the work are properly licensed.

We may decline, hide, or remove work if we believe it does not match these criteria.

5. Ownership

You keep ownership of the work you submit.

Submitting work to umanmade™ does not transfer copyright, intellectual property rights, or ownership to umanmade™.

umanmade™ does not claim ownership over your submitted project, visual, code, media, proof file, process material, description, or other creative asset.

6. Permission to use submitted work

By submitting work, you give umanmade™ permission to review your submission, publish approved work in the directory, display the work on the website, feature the work across umanmade™, promote or share the work through related channels, and use submitted media, descriptions, links, and attribution for directory purposes.

This permission is limited to operating, curating, promoting, and maintaining umanmade™.

It does not mean umanmade™ owns your work.

7. Proof files

Proof files are used to review whether submitted work meets umanmade’s criteria.

Proof files may include process screenshots, video recordings, drafts, source files, project files, or other supporting material.

Proof files are not intended to be published publicly unless clearly stated or agreed otherwise.

You should not submit confidential material, private client material, passwords, private keys, sensitive documents, or anything you are not allowed to share.

8. Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you submit.

By submitting work, you confirm that you own the work or have permission to submit it, that your submission does not infringe another person’s rights, that your submission does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, or intellectual property rights, that your submission does not contain unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, hateful, or malicious content, that your submission does not contain viruses, malware, tracking scripts, or harmful code, that your submission does not falsely claim authorship or misrepresent the creation process, and that you have properly licensed any third-party assets, fonts, code, plugins, libraries, mockups, textures, templates, or other resources used in the work.

You agree not to submit work that violates these Terms.

9. Curated work found by umanmade™

umanmade™ may sometimes feature publicly available work that we find interesting, even if it was not submitted directly by the creator.

When we do this, we aim to credit the original creator clearly and link back to the source whenever possible.

Featuring publicly available work does not mean umanmade™ owns that work or claims rights over it.

If you are the creator or rights holder of featured work and would like it removed, updated, credited differently, or linked to a different source, contact us with the relevant details.

10. Removal requests

If you submitted work and want it removed, contact us at:

If your work has been featured without a direct submission and you would like it removed, updated, credited differently, or linked to another source, contact us with the relevant details.

If you believe work on umanmade™ infringes your rights, uses your material without permission, was submitted by someone who does not own it, or has been credited incorrectly, contact us with the relevant details.

We may remove, hide, or update work while reviewing ownership, rights, attribution, licensing, originality, or AI-use concerns.

11. Directory moderation

umanmade™ is curated.

We may decline, hide, edit, update, or remove submissions at our discretion, especially if work raises concerns around originality, ownership, licensing, proof, quality, attribution, AI-generated content, misleading information, or platform abuse.

Submitting work does not guarantee publication.

We are not required to explain every moderation decision.

12. Use of featured work

Work featured on umanmade™ remains protected by the creator’s rights.

Visitors may view featured work for inspiration, but they may not copy it, reproduce it, resell it, redistribute it, modify it, claim it as their own, train AI systems on it, or use it commercially without permission from the original creator.

A project appearing on umanmade™ does not mean it is free to use.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to use umanmade™ to submit work you do not own or have permission to submit, submit AI-generated work or AI-generated assets, misrepresent authorship, process, ownership, or originality, upload harmful files, malware, or malicious code, scrape, copy, or mass-download content from the website, use the platform to harass, impersonate, spam, or mislead others, interfere with the website’s security, performance, or operation, attempt to access private systems, files, uploads, or data, or use featured work in ways that violate the creator’s rights.

14. Third-party links

umanmade™ may include links to third-party websites, portfolios, social profiles, tools, and external sources.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy.

Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.

15. No guarantee of availability

umanmade™ may change, pause, remove, or discontinue parts of the website at any time.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

16. Disclaimer

umanmade™ is provided as is and as available.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, ownership, licensing status, originality, or legality of every featured work.

We review submissions, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of information provided by submitters is accurate.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, umanmade™ and its creator are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website.

This includes issues related to submitted work, featured work, third-party links, moderation decisions, removal decisions, website availability, or reliance on content shown on the platform.

18. Indemnity

If you submit work that violates these Terms, infringes another person’s rights, misrepresents ownership or originality, or causes a claim against umanmade™, you agree to be responsible for the consequences of that submission.

This may include claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses caused by your submission or misuse of the platform.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make changes, we may update the effective date or provide notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of umanmade™ after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
